About this role
Role:
An occupational therapist responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs to improve patients' daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are delivered across the care continuum with a focus on quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
- Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment plans, set goals, and develop discharge strategies. Implement and adjust therapy activities, provide patient and family education, and document evaluations, care plans, and sessions according to departmental standards.
- Patient Care: Conduct assessments, develop individualized plans, and provide ongoing care, education, and discharge instructions. Ensure plans are patient-centered and goal-oriented, with appropriate follow-up and community referrals.
- Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program with a bachelor's or master's degree. Hold current licensure and certifications including Occupational Therapist and BLS. Must demonstrate effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
- Professional Expectations: Adhere to ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment. Organize workload efficiently and utilize resources safely and cost-effectively.
