Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments; participate in care planning and revisions as clinical needs evolve.
• Monitor vital signs, document findings, and escalate changes in condition to the supervising team promptly.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, including supervising or directing licensed practical nurse and nursing assistant staff.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records; ensure compliance with regulatory and facility requirements.
• Respond to emergent situations, implement urgent care procedures within scope of practice, and ensure patient safety and quality of care.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Iowa
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing settings preferred
• Availability to work the 06:00 AM–06:00 PM shift
• Ability to fulfill a travel temporary assignment and work in a nursing home environment
• Ability to meet licensure and credentialing requirements for the assignment
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
