Overview

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) – Waupaca, WI. Travel assignment starting 11/02/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,006 to $2,166 with guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12), from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. This role is in a short-term acute care hospital setting, staffed to handle high-acuity emergencies in a compact ED unit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to ED patients across adult and pediatric presentations, including triage, initial assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring
• Administer medications, perform procedures within ED scope, and coordinate therapeutic interventions under physician direction
• Monitor patient status, interpret findings, and respond to changes in condition with rapid escalation as needed
• Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (Epic) with accuracy and timeliness
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety, throughput, and high-quality care

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS required
• Experience: Minimum 3+ years RN experience; minimum 2+ years ER experience required
• Education: ADN or Certificate required; BSN strongly preferred, not required
• Epic experience required within the last year
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet unit staffing needs
• ED environment tolerance: high-acuity, fast-paced setting; patient ratio typically around 1:4
