Senior iOS Platform Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Senior iOS Platform Engineer to join the Mobile Platform organization. This team builds the foundational frameworks, tooling, and infrastructure that power mobile development across our large retail client's ecosystem and support dozens of downstream engineering teams. This role will focus on platform architecture, developer enablement, mobile frameworks, and strategic collaboration with Apple.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain reusable iOS platform frameworks used across Walmart applications. • Partner with engineering teams to improve mobile architecture, scalability, and performance. • Drive mobile platform standards, governance, and best practices. • Improve developer experience through tooling and automation. • Support CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment strategies. • Collaborate with Apple and internal platform stakeholders on future platform initiatives. • Mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction across the organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of iOS engineering experience. • Deep expertise in Swift and iOS architecture. • Experience building mobile platforms, SDKs, or shared frameworks. • Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, and release management. • Experience supporting large-scale consumer applications. • Ability to influence architecture across multiple engineering organizations.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Walmart ecosystem experience. • Mobile platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling background. • Experience working with highly distributed engineering organizations.
