REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of

Java development

experience

• 4+ years of

Spring Boot

experience

• 4+ years of

API

experience designing, building, and integrating APIs

• 4+ years of experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar with asynchronous messaging
• Comfortable working on the front end 40% of your time with React
• Ability to be in office 2x days per week

JOB DESCRIPTION

We're looking for a

Senior Software Engineer

to join a growing team that is helping modernize and expand a leading enterprise platform following a recent acquisition. This is a

full-time, direct-hire position

with a

hybrid schedule (2 days onsite)

. This is a

backend-focused full stack role

, with approximately

60% backend development

and

40% frontend development

. You'll primarily work with

Java, Spring Boot, APIs, Kafka, AWS, OCI, and React

while helping design and enhance a high-volume platform that processes critical business transactions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and maintain core platform functionality using Java and Spring Boot
• Develop and support APIs and system integrations
• Troubleshoot and optimize application performance, scalability, and memory utilization
• Work with high-volume EDI and XML document processing
• Support PDF and image processing capabilities
• Build and maintain asynchronous messaging solutions using Kafka or similar technologies
• Develop user-facing features and enhancements in React
• Contribute to architecture decisions and help shape the future direction of the platform
