Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the PCU, including monitoring vital signs, titrating medications, and assessing patient status.
• Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders; monitor for adverse reactions and document responses.
• Conduct focused assessments, contribute to care planning, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to adjust plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families, assist with discharge planning, and coordinate with case management and ancillary services.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record, ensuring timely updates and clear communication of patient needs.
• Respond to clinical changes, implement appropriate interventions, and escalate to the charge nurse or physician as indicated.

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN license active at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in travel and trauma hospital settings; similar hospital setting experience
• Flu vaccination required prior to start; no religious exemptions
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
• Must be separated from prior employer for 6+ months to be considered (perm, per diem, or travel)
• Submission requires a coversheet at time of submission
