Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments in the ER, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor responses, and evaluate therapeutic effectiveness
• Observe patients’ progress, detect deterioration, and respond promptly to emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other disciplines to develop and adjust care plans
• Maintain accurate charting and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and coordination of post-acute care when appropriate

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
• Education: BSN preferred; associate degree acceptable
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC; PALS or ENPC (or equivalency) required
• Experience: Epic EMR experience; must have been separated from the affiliated hospital system for 6 months or more
• Ability to work in an ER setting, including night shifts, with strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
