Responsibilities

• Deliver direct care to adult and geriatric patients in the progressive care unit, including monitoring and reassessment
• administer medications, manage IVs and lines, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Develop and update individualized care plans; coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team
• Document care precisely in the EMR (Epic) and ensure patient safety and quality standards
• Collaborate on admission, transfer, and discharge processes; assist with discharge planning and patient education
• Respond to emergencies, participate in rounds, and communicate effectively with patients and families

Requirements

• Current RN license in Florida or a Compact license; recent Nursys verification on profile
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Experience: minimum 2 years of PCU (progressive care) experience
• Education: degree accreditation must be on profile or candidate must have 5 years of PCU experience
• EMR: experience using Epic
• Flexibility to float to sister campuses as required
