Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated perioperative nursing care for surgical patients across preop, intraoperative, and immediate post-anesthesia phases according to established standards and the nursing process.
• Assess patients, develop and implement a plan of care, and coordinate with the surgical team and ancillary staff to ensure safe, efficient care.
• Monitor patient status, manage perioperative data, and support the team with timely interventions and documentation.
• Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at multiple levels; collaborate with CNAs and other disciplines to promote a healing, safe environment.
• Provide patient and family education, participate in discharge planning, and support continuity of care.

Requirements

• Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice (California) required
• Certifications: CPR/BLS from an approved vendor per policy required
• Experience: At least two years of recent nursing experience
• Education: BSN preferred
• Ability to work in an OR/acute care setting, follow perioperative protocols, and coordinate care with the surgical team
