Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med Surg unit, using evidence-based nursing practices
• Monitor patients’ condition, perform timely assessments, and respond to changes in status
• Administer medications and treatments, including IV therapies and wound care, within scope of practice
• Document care in the electronic medical record and communicate updates to the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, bedside nurses, and ancillary staff to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning to promote safe transitions

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg RN experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; willingness to cover holidays as assigned
• Eligible for travel assignment; no local candidates within 50 miles
• Must be able to meet the assignment length (13 weeks) and start date
