Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of experience and a WA license, with first-time travelers welcome to apply.
Details
- Acute Care Hospital setting within a Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
- Patient ratios of approximately 8-9 to 1
- Rotating weekends required, approximately every 3-4 weeks
- Position may float between units
- Epic EMR used for charting
- 104 staffed beds
Requirements
- Current WA OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
- IPR (inpatient rehabilitation) experience a plus
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Experience with modalities such as edema massage, kinesiotaping, prosthetics/orthotics, functional splints, orthoplast, and static splints

- Work within an Acute Care and Adult Rehabilitation Facility setting

- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
- Scrub color is unrestricted across all units
- No parking fees at this facility
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for standard travel rate
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
