Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of hospital experience for an inpatient rehab unit specializing in stroke and neuro re-education.
Details
- Inpatient rehab therapy unit within a hospital setting
- 44-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
- Staffed by 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
- Equipment includes Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego
- Documentation completed in Meditech Expanse
- Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts between 7am-5pm, with rotating weekends
- May float to acute hospital units if rehab census is low
- Unit holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license required, if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
- Hospital and inpatient rehab experience preferred
- Experience with stroke evaluation and treatment required
- Skilled in manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, self-care training, and functional e-stim
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Use AIDET communication framework and provide immediate service recovery with patients
- Required dress code of black scrub bottoms with a royal blue top
- 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates will not be considered
- First-time travelers may be considered
