We are seeking a

Staff Accountant

to join our team as a

Full Time Engagement Professional (FTEP)

. Think of it as the best of both worlds: the variety and skill building of consulting combined with the security of a full time position. You'll support companies throughout the Greater Milwaukee area while remaining a full time employee of Robert Half.

Average engagements provide exposure to different industries, accounting processes, and ERP systems, helping you build experience that might otherwise take years to gain in a traditional accounting role.

What You'll Be Doing:

• General ledger accounting and month end close activities
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
• Support financial reporting and analysis
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Participate in audits and special projects
• Support process improvements and system implementations
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams across a variety of organizations

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Staff Accountant or related accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, QuickBooks, Epicor, JD Edwards, Workday, or similar platforms
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Adaptable, curious, and eager to learn new systems and processes
