Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to obstetric patients in the L&D unit, including triage and ongoing monitoring
• Continuously monitor maternal vital signs and fetal heart rate; assess labor progression and cervical changes
• Administer medications as ordered (analgesia, antibiotics, tocolytics) and monitor for adverse effects
• Assist with labor, delivery, cesarean births, and immediate newborn care as needed
• Perform nursing assessments, document in the Epic system, and ensure accurate charting
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other team members; respond to obstetric emergencies and educate patients and families

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery or high-risk obstetric nursing experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring Certification (Advanced)
• Epic electronic medical record experience required
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; every other weekend
• Travel nursing experience preferred
