Software Engineer

An employer is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and run agents that automate work across digital commerce and transformation programs. This is a hands-on, product-minded role focusing on delivering governed agents that enhance business workflows.

The Role

Design, build, and deploy production-ready AI agents using Microsoft's AI platform. Ensure agents meet the client's Agentic Framework for registration, authentication, authorization, observability, and certification. Collaborate with program managers, data engineers, BI developers, solution architects, and security partners.

Define best practices and write code for AI agent development. Comfortably navigate ambiguity, provide opinions on evaluation, and clearly explain agent capabilities and limitations. What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

4+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 1 year building production LLM-based or agent-based applications. Strong Python skills; C# or TypeScript are a plus, along with fluency in asynchronous APIs, REST, GraphQL, JSON schemas, and Git workflows.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft AI services like Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Copilot Studio, Semantic Kernel, or Microsoft Agent Framework. Practical experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), including chunking, embeddings, vector search, reranking, and retrieval evaluation.
