About this role
About The Role
The role owns the product lifecycle for a core platform area — from discovery and roadmap definition through technical scoping, launch, and post-launch iteration. This is a hands-on PM role in a B2B SaaS environment where the product surfaces are API-driven, data-heavy, and deeply integrated into customer workflows. The PM sits at the intersection of engineering, design, go-to-market, and customers.
Success means making sharp prioritization calls, writing specs engineers actually want to build from, and shipping measurable outcomes — not just features.
Key Responsibilities
Own the product roadmap for a core platform area, translating business goals into a sequenced, quarterly plan with explicit tradeoffs and success metrics Write clear PRDs, user stories, and technical requirement docs; run backlog grooming and sprint planning directly with engineering leads Conduct customer discovery — interviews, win/loss analysis, support ticket mining — to validate problems before committing roadmap capacity Define and instrument product metrics (activation, retention, feature adoption) using tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, or SQL-based dashboards; report progress to leadership monthly Partner with engineering on technical tradeoffs: API design decisions, schema changes, integration patterns, and build-vs-buy evaluations Coordinate launches across marketing, sales, and customer success, including positioning, enablement materials, and rollout plans Run A/B tests and post-launch reviews to validate hypotheses and kill what isn't working What We Are Looking For 3–6 years of product management experience, including at least 2 years owning a technical or API-driven product Demonstrated ability to write precise product specs and communicate tradeoffs to both engineering teams and executive stakeholders Hands-on analytical skills: SQL proficiency and comfort pulling your own data; experience with Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar product analytics tools Track record of shipping products through at least one full lifecycle — from 0-to-1 definition or a major platform migration to measurable adoption Strong grasp of software development practices — agile/scrum, API concepts, system design basics — enough to hold credible technical conversations Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS, engineering) or equivalent practical experience Bonus: Experience with developer-facing products, B2B integrations, or platform ecosystems; prior experience as an engineer or in technical consulting
