Job description
About this role
About The Role
The role owns mobile application development across iOS and Android — building native user-facing experiences that are performant, reliable, and used by hundreds of thousands of customers daily.
You will work directly with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ship features end-to-end, with real ownership over architecture decisions, release quality, and app performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain native iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose) applications with a focus on performance, offline resilience, and clean architecture
- Ship features end-to-end: collaborate with product and design on specs, implement UI from Figma, integrate REST/GraphQL APIs, and deliver through App Store and Play Store release cycles
- Own mobile CI/CD pipelines using Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions — including automated testing, code signing, staged rollouts, and crash-free release monitoring
- Instrument and monitor app performance using Firebase, Sentry, or similar tools; drive down crash rates, ANRs, and cold-start latency with measurable targets
- Write unit, integration, and UI tests (XCTest, Espresso, Compose testing) and maintain high coverage on critical user flows
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and mobile guild discussions; mentor mid-level engineers on platform best practices
- Contribute to shared component libraries and design system implementations to keep iOS and Android experiences consistent
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of mobile engineering experience, with deep expertise in at least one platform (iOS or Android) and working proficiency in the other
- Strong Swift and/or Kotlin skills; hands-on experience with SwiftUI and/or Jetpack Compose in production apps
- Experience consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs, handling authentication, caching, and offline-first patterns
- Track record of shipping apps through the full App Store and Play Store release process, including review handling and staged rollouts
- Familiarity with mobile observability tooling (Crashlytics, Sentry, Firebase Performance) and fixing production issues from crash reports
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience building and maintaining consumer-facing mobile products
- Bonus: experience with cross-platform frameworks (React Native, Flutter), mobile security best practices, accessibility (WCAG), or contributing to open-source mobile libraries
