About this role
About The Role
The role owns the product lifecycle for a core platform - from discovery and roadmap definition through shipped, monitored releases used by thousands of enterprise customers daily. You will sit at the intersection of engineering, design, and go-to-market, translating ambiguous business problems into scoped, sequenced technical work that backend and frontend teams can execute on.
Key Responsibilities
Own the product roadmap for a core platform area, sequencing initiatives across quarters and negotiating tradeoffs between customer requests, technical debt, and platform investments Write clear product requirement documents (PRDs) and specs with acceptance criteria that engineering teams can implement without constant clarification Run discovery: customer interviews, competitive analysis, and win/loss reviews to identify high-leverage opportunities backed by data Define and track success metrics (activation, retention, adoption) using SQL and analytics tools like Amplitude or Looker; make kill-or-scale decisions based on evidence Partner with engineering leads on technical tradeoffs, sprint planning, and backlog grooming - comfortable discussing APIs, data models, and infrastructure constraints Coordinate launches end-to-end with marketing, sales, and support teams, including positioning, enablement materials, and rollout plans Communicate progress and risks to leadership through crisp written updates and quarterly business reviews What We Are Looking For 3-6 years of product management experience shipping B2B software or platform products, with at least one product you owned from 0 to scale Strong technical fluency: can read API docs, understand system architecture at a high level, and hold credible conversations with senior engineers Hands-on analytics skills - comfortable writing SQL queries and building dashboards to answer your own questions Demonstrated track record of using customer research and quantitative data to make prioritization decisions Excellent written communication; experience producing PRDs, strategy memos, and executive summaries that drive decisions Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS, engineering) or equivalent practical experience
