Outpatient Orthopedic Sports Medicine - Physical Therapist - New Grad Welcome - LOCAL CONTRACT

Job Overview

As an Outpatient Orthopedic Sports Medicine Physical Therapist on a local contract, you’ll evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and guide rehabilitation in an outpatient setting. You’ll apply physical therapy principles and knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support recovery, mobility, and daily function. This role may involve patients across age groups and care settings.

This will be a 13 week contract with possibility of extension and also of going permanent if you want!

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and progress; develop, implement, and adjust care plans and treatment plans.
• Provide orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation, including appropriate trigger point therapy.
• Communicate clearly with patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate physical therapy documentation in electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems, following clinical documentation standards.
• Support discharge planning and continuity of patient care when appropriate.

Requirements

• Experience practicing in a physical therapy role and providing patient care; outpatient clinic, outpatient experience, or outpatient rehabilitation center experience is relevant.
• Knowledge of orthopedics, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Ability to manage ATHENA EMR - documentation and communicate effectively with clients and care teams.
• Acute care, inpatient, hospital, clinic, home health, or home and community care experience is useful.
• Experience with patient rehabilitation and care for geriatric patients (geriatrics), pediatrics, or neurology populations is a plus.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
