Job Summary

Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) The organization is seeking an Occupational Therapist specializing in inpatient care at a short-term acute care facility.

The role involves providing therapy services across multiple hospital units, including Acute, Medical, ICU, and Inpatient Rehabilitation, supporting a diverse patient population with diagnoses such as multi-trauma, TII, SCI, CVA, surgical, orthopedic, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and others.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education, and Experience: Valid State License; at least 1 year of acute care experience required; experience with adult rehabilitation and certain specialized treatments (e.g., edema massage, kinesiotaping, static splints) preferred.
  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts on days, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Additional responsibilities: Flexibility to work across all hospital units; independently evaluate and treat patients; work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams; provide timely and effective therapy assessments and interventions.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be hard-working, team-oriented, and adaptable to a rural hospital setting. Experience with acute care evaluation and treatment procedures is required. Ability to float between units including ICU, Medical, and Inpatient Rehab is expected. Candidates should be available to work around 3 of the 5 major holidays listed.
