Workfront Product Owner

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workfront Product Owner to drive the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of our Workfront-based work management capabilities.

The role will partner with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and technical resources to translate business needs into prioritized product features, lead Workfront implementations and enhancements, and ensure task-based workflows support efficient execution across the organization.

This position is starting ASAP through the end of the year, with potential to extend into 2027. You must be local to NYC or Atlanta, GA, and willing to go onsite 2-4 days per week to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as the accountable product owner for Adobe Workfront for our client's in-house agency, who owns the platform vision, strategy, roadmap, and priorities
  • Evaluates new Adobe Workfront capabilities and determines where they should be incorporated into the roadmap
  • Translates business needs and operating requirements into scalable Workfront capabilities and solutions
  • Defines future-state workflows, processes, and operating models
  • Owns the Workfront configuration architecture and associated design standards
  • Configures and maintains Workfront in accordance with approved requirements and platform standards

Priorities

  • Conducts general audit/assessment of current affairs and target goals for completion by EOY
  • Identifies and implements key foundational fixes before shifting to technical implementations and automations
  • Designs and manages custom forms, custom fields, templates, workflows, statuses, queues, approval processes, views, reports, and dashboards
  • Partners closely with Operations, Project Management, and Adobe CSM to act as the key driver & facilitator

Documents Change Management Process for agency-wide implementation:

  • Balances Q4 objectives with larger forward-facing objectives for 2027
  • Drives user adoption and effective use of Workfront across the internal agency
  • Maintains product, configuration, governance, and administrative documentation
  • Monitors platform adoption, data quality, process compliance, usability, and overall platform health
  • Example Objectives
  • Leads implementation and change management of a shift from Workfront Milestone Management to Workfront Task-Based Management
  • Organizes approach to implementing Marketing Partners (clients) into the tool with clear boundaries and ease of setup for brief delivery
  • Explores and maps system integrations (ex., Microsoft BI)

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in product owner/product management roles, or equivalent experience delivering enterprise work management solutions.
  • Must have direct, deep, subject matter experience in Workfront Ownership/Building/Mgmt (not simply a Project Manager who has worked in WF).
  • Proven experience with Workfront administration, implementation, or heavy usage in a production environment.
  • Live in proximity to New York or Atlanta for laptop pickup and hybrid, in-office collaboration.
  • Must have in-house or external agency experience (by way of Workfront).
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe products is a huge plus.
  • Strong understanding of task-based management principles, workflow design, and process optimization.
  • Experience creating and maintaining product roadmaps and translating strategy into prioritized backlogs.
  • Practical knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and experience working closely with development and delivery teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills with the ability to negotiate priorities across teams.
  • Experience with integrations between work management tools and other enterprise systems (e.g., DAM, CMS, collaboration platforms) is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze metrics and user feedback to drive data-informed product decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
