Overview
Our client, a leading pet products organization, is seeking a Senior Digital Commerce Designer to join their team on a full-time contract basis in Franklin, WI. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on design role focused on creating compelling, conversion-driven digital commerce content across Amazon, retailer websites, and other digital commerce platforms.
The ideal candidate brings strong visual design expertise, digital merchandising knowledge, and experience developing engaging product storytelling that enhances the online shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of digital commerce assets including:
+ Product Detail Page (PDP) image carousels
+ Amazon A+ and Premium A+ content
+ Amazon Brand Stores
+ Retailer-specific digital content
+ Digital advertising creative
- Translate creative briefs, product positioning, and consumer insights into compelling, conversion-focused visual content.
- Develop product storytelling that supports consumer education, product discovery, and purchasing decisions.
- Adapt existing brand campaigns and creative concepts for digital commerce environments.
- Partner with Creative Services, eCommerce, and Brand teams to enhance product content across digital retail platforms.
- Support development and optimization of product titles, descriptions, and feature bullets.
- Incorporate SEO and GEO best practices into content development and optimization efforts.
- Manage creative projects from concept through final delivery while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Develop reusable templates, modular design systems, and scalable content frameworks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align creative execution with brand objectives and business priorities.
- Stay current on digital commerce trends, retailer platform capabilities, and AI-enabled creative tools.
Must-Haves
- 5-7+ years of experience in graphic design, digital content creation, or related creative roles with experience creating eCommerce content.
- Strong portfolio showcasing digital commerce design, product storytelling, and high-quality visual execution.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically:
+ Photoshop
+ Illustrator
+ InDesign
- Experience creating:
+ PDP image carousels
+ Amazon A+ content
+ Digital commerce assets
- Strong understanding of:
+ Typography
+ Layout and composition
+ Visual hierarchy
+ Brand systems
- Experience with conversion-focused design and digital shelf best practices.
- Strong image editing, retouching, compositing, and asset optimization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Amazon Premium A+ Content and Amazon Brand Stores.
- Experience creating content for major retailer platforms such as Walmart, Chewy, Petco, or PetSmart.
- Knowledge of SEO, GEO, product copywriting, and digital content optimization.
- Experience with PIM and DAM platforms, such as Salsify.
- Familiarity with Figma and collaborative design workflows.
- Experience using AI-enabled creative tools and production automation.
- Background in consumer packaged goods, pet products, or multi-brand organizations.
- Experience working on an in-house creative team or within an eCommerce content production environment.
Portfolio Requirements
Candidates should provide a portfolio demonstrating:
- PDP image carousels and product storytelling
- Amazon A+ or Premium A+ content
- Retailer-specific digital commerce content
- Strong typography and visual design execution
- Multi-platform design adaptations
- Scalable content systems and template-driven design work (preferred)
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
