About this role
The opportunity
AI is changing how work gets done, and the winners will be the platforms where people and AI agents collaborate natively, not chatbots bolted onto legacy tools. Slack is that platform: the System of Engagement where people, AI agents, data and business apps come together in one flow of work.
We're growing our Australian Commercial team to meet surging demand from fast-moving businesses that are moving from experimenting with AI to putting it to work. You'll own your patch, build your pipeline and help shape how growing Australian companies work with AI.
What you'll do
- Own the full sales cycle across a portfolio of Commercial accounts, from prospecting through to close, and drive Annual Contract Value growth
- Run a high-velocity pipeline: generate your own opportunities, qualify quickly and move deals through shorter, faster sales cycles
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and department heads. Understand their challenges and connect Slack's agentic platform to outcomes they care about, like faster decisions, less tool sprawl and more productive teams
- Land and expand: win the first team or use case, then grow Slack's footprint across the business
- Work with Customer Success, Solution Engineering, and partners to bring deals over the line, and with legal, security and procurement where needed
- Build clear account plans and forecast accurately
- Pass customer feedback back to our product teams to help shape Slack's future in Australia
What you bring
- Around 5 years of SaaS sales experience, ideally in a Commercial, Mid-Market or similar segment, with a record of consistently hitting or exceeding quota
- Proven success managing a high volume of deals at once. This means balancing new business prospecting, expansion and renewals while keeping your pipeline disciplined
- Experience building a compelling business case, with ROI as a core element, and winning buy-in from multiple stakeholders
- Experience working alongside Customer Success, Solution Engineering and partners to close deals
- The ability to explain AI and agentic concepts in terms of business value to both technical and non-technical audiences. No engineering background required
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to engage senior decision-makers
- Sharp commercial instincts: accurate forecasting, strong pipeline management and a genuine commitment to customers' success
- Real curiosity about where agentic AI is heading and how it changes the way teams work
Why Slack, why now
Slack was built for exactly this moment — where AI agents and people work side by side without switching tools or losing context. You're not selling a point solution; you're helping Australia's largest enterprises build the operating foundation their AI strategy runs on. It's a story that gets stronger every quarter, and as an Enterprise AE, you'll be the one telling it to the organisations that set the pace for everyone else.
