PAY RANGE: $2,800.00 - $2,870.00 / Weekly

Job Overview

The RN GI/Endoscopy provides nursing care to patients before, during, and after gastrointestinal procedures. This role combines thorough patient assessment, safe medication administration, and close coordination with the care team.

Duties

• Assess patients, review medical histories and vital signs, and document care in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment using aseptic technique and infection-control practices.
• Monitor patients during procedures, administer medications and IV infusions as ordered, and respond to changes in condition.
• Support recovery, manage acute pain, provide discharge guidance, and coordinate follow-up or case management as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and protect patient privacy in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Requirements

• Current registered nurse (RN) licensure and basic life support (BLS) certification are required.
• Demonstrated nursing experience in endoscopy, acute care, or a related hospital setting is preferred.
• Strong patient assessment, triage, IV insertion, medication administration, and medical documentation skills.
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, including Epic or Cerner, is an asset; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is expected.
• Additional experience in critical care, emergency medicine, telemetry, ambulatory surgery, or infection control is beneficial.

Pay: $2,800.00 - $2,870.00 per week

License/Certification:

• ACLS, BLS Certification (Required)
• ACTIVE CA RN LICENSE (Required)

Work Location: In person
