Interim Reconciliation Accountant

Job Title: Reconciliation Accountant (Contract)

Location: Eagan, MN (onsite approximately 4 days per week)

Pay: $40 to $45 per hour

Job Type: Contract, W-2, minimum 3 months with potential to extend

About the Role

Scouts Talent is partnering with an established Twin Cities company to find a Reconciliation Accountant for a contract project. The company is preparing for upcoming audits and needs help bringing key balance sheet accounts current. This is a focused, well-defined project with a supportive finance team and a start date as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and roll balances forward
• Tie out account activity and clear aged reconciling items
• Identify complex or unusual items and pass them to the Controller for review
• Keep clear documentation to support audit requests
• Partner with the accounting team on questions and open items

Qualifications

• 1 to 2+ years of accounting experience, including account reconciliations
• Working knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working through a backlog
• Great Plains experience is a plus, but not required
• Experienced accountants who enjoy hands-on reconciliation work are encouraged to apply

Schedule and Logistics

• Onsite in Eagan, MN about 4 days per week
• Minimum 3 month engagement, starting as soon as possible

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
