We are a small, dynamic CPA firm with a strong focus on serving small businesses and individuals. With a team of 10-15 dedicated professionals, we pride ourselves on offering personalized, high-quality accounting services that make a difference for our clients. We are looking to expand our team with an experienced staff accountant who can contribute to the continued success and growth of our firm.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated staff accountant who has at least 3 years of experience in small business and personal tax accounting. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work in a collaborative, close-knit environment. The position is available on a part-time basis and requires in-person work at our office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns (including personal, corporate, and partnership returns).
• Provide ongoing client support and advice for tax planning and compliance.
• Maintain accurate and organized client records.
• Assist with year-end closing and audits as needed.
• Monthly bank reconciliations.
• Review and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in small business and personal taxes.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including Lacerte and QuickBooks (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and accounting principles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with clients.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics.
