About this role
Our team builds the software that keeps local businesses running by scheduling, billing, inventory, and customer-facing tools used every day. Most of it works well. Some of it we've outgrown.
We're looking for a Software Developer to help us modernize what exists and ship what comes next.
You'll be one of a small group of developers who owns features end to end: talking to the people who use the software, writing the code, testing it, and putting it into production. There's no handoff culture here, if you build it, you see it through. The role is based in Mission, Texas.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain features across our internal business applications and customer-facing web products
- Write clean, tested code in C#/.NET and TypeScript, following the patterns the team has established
- Build and consume REST APIs and work with SQL Server databases, schemas, and queries
- Fix bugs, investigate production issues, and improve the reliability of systems already in use
- Collaborate with product and operations teams to turn business needs into working software
- Participate in code reviews, giving useful feedback and receiving it without fuss
- Help decompose older components into maintainable services as part of the modernization effort
- Write documentation and unit tests so the next change doesn't require guessing
- Contribute to deployment and monitoring as our processes mature
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Three or more years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in at least one of C#, Java, or Node.js, with a willingness to work primarily in C#/.NET
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational database design
- Experience building and integrating REST APIs
- Comfort with front-end development using React or a comparable framework
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD fundamentals
- Ability to write clear requirements, status updates, and documentation in English
- Reliable, organized, and able to work on site in Mission, TX
Preferred qualifications (good to have, not required):
- Experience with TypeScript in a production codebase
- Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud services
- Familiarity with Docker and container-based deployments
- Experience taking a legacy application through incremental modernization
- Knowledge of the healthcare, logistics, or retail sectors common to this region
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: $105,000 - $115,000 per year, based on experience
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off and holidays
- Monday-Friday schedule with no routine on-call
- Professional development and certification support
