Infrastructure Engineer

A specialty insurance organization is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer to join its Technology organization and help strengthen security across a modern enterprise infrastructure environment. This is a hands-on engineering position for someone who can operate across infrastructure, cloud security and architecture.

The role will work extensively within Microsoft Azure while contributing to the design and implementation of security controls, infrastructure improvements and security technology initiatives. The strongest candidate will be comfortable moving between detailed engineering work and higher-level design conversations while remaining personally involved in implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and enhance infrastructure and security capabilities across an Azure environment.
• Engineer and improve security controls within cloud and enterprise infrastructure.
• Contribute to infrastructure and security architecture while remaining hands-on with implementation.
• Support security initiatives involving containerized infrastructure and modern security tooling.
• Participate in the evaluation, rollout and ongoing improvement of security technologies.
• Partner with infrastructure, architecture and security stakeholders on technical initiatives.
• Help ensure security requirements are practical, supportable and integrated into the broader technology environment.
• Maintain strong technical ownership throughout design, implementation and ongoing support.
• Role Requirements Senior-level infrastructure or infrastructure-security engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
• Strong Azure security experience.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement technical security solutions.
• Strong infrastructure engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to contribute to architecture and design decisions while remaining technically hands-on.
• Experience working collaboratively across infrastructure and security teams.
• Ability to work onsite in Jersey City approximately two days per week.
• Nice to Have Kubernetes experience.
• Zscaler experience.
• Experience implementing or supporting enterprise data-security technologies.
• Security architecture experience in addition to hands-on engineering.
