VMware Desktop Role

Location - Fortworth, TX

This is Hybrid role and there will be in-person client interview for the shortlisted candidate.

Description

• 4-7 years experience required Responsibility level
• Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor Skills
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required) o Ability to work independently and manage one?s time (Required)
• Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required)
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery (Required)
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue
• Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software (Required)
• Knowledge of computer development software as it relates to systems, such as SQL, VisualBasic, etc (Required)

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Modify existing databases and database management systems
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions
• Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations o Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project

Specifically:

• + VMware or similar stack – VCF, vSphere, VCSA, vSAN, SRM, vROPS, LogInsight & vRA

+ Private cloud and virtualization (Kubernetes/Virtualization) on-prem/cloud bursting

+ Services - TCP/IP, DNS, FTP/SFTP, SMTP, SMB, DHCP, SSH, SNMP, API

+ Telemetry - Dynatrace, VMware Log Insight and VMware vROPS

+ Scripting – BASH, Powershell, Python

+ Infra as code – Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Git

+ OS – Ubuntu (22, 24, 26), RHEL (8, 9, 10), Windows Server/Core (2019, 2022, 2025)

Hardware – HP Proliant, SAN/NAS

Skills Mandatory Skills : Bash/Shell scripting, Python, Vmware Horizon, Vmware-vrealize-automation - Administration

Good to Have Skills : vRealize Suite Vmware Private Cloud

Other details

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.
