Cost Accountant

LHH is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in the search for an experienced Cost Accountant to join their accounting team. This is an important role in operational and financial decision making and a strong fit for someone who wants visibility across the business. This position offers a 10% bonus in addition to base salary.

Responsibilities

Manage and analyze job costs Review bill of materials (BOMs) and investigate cost discrepancies Perform variance analysis and identify key cost drivers Track manufacturing costs and provide insight into trends and opportunities Support inventory accounting, controls, and reconciliation Partner with operations, supply chain, finance, and other cross-functional teams Assist with reporting and analysis to support business decisions Help improve cost accounting processes and overall financial visibility Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Ideally 5+ years of accounting or finance experience Strong cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Experience with job costing, BOM analysis, variance analysis, inventory, and cost tracking Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and explain cost variances Comfortable working cross-functionally with both finance and operational teams Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a growing environment
