Senior Systems Engineer

Ironside IT Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to deliver infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology projects for small and medium-sized businesses throughout the Philadelphia region.

We're looking for a versatile engineer who enjoys solving problems, leading projects, and working directly with clients.

What You'll Do

Working closely with company leadership, you'll help design technical solutions and independently manage their implementation.

• Design, deploy, and maintain business networks, servers, and cloud infrastructure.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 migrations.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute technical projects.
• Conduct cybersecurity assessments and implement security improvements.
• Evaluate client environments against security requirements and compliance frameworks.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and provide advanced technical support.
• Communicate technical recommendations, risks, and project progress to clients.
• Develop technical documentation, procedures, and standards.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience.
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID skills.
• Proficiency with firewalls, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
• Experience planning and independently executing technical projects.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and compliance frameworks.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professionalism, sound judgment, and personal accountability.

Preferred

MSP experience, Azure, Intune, PowerShell, cybersecurity assessments, and familiarity with SonicWall, UniFi, or similar technologies.

Location & Work Arrangement

Flexible hybrid position with the option to work remotely or from our Cherry Hill, NJ office. Occasional onsite visits to clients throughout the Philadelphia metropolitan area are required.

Location

Philadelphia Metropolitan Area Schedule: Full-Time, Hybrid Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 annually, depending on experience

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
