Front-End Web Developer

IDR is seeking a

Front-End Web Developer

to join one of our top clients for a hybrid opportunity in San Antonio, TX. This role blends front-end development and UI/UX design to support the ongoing enhancement of a high-visibility, public-sector website.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop responsive, mobile-first web experiences aligned to brand standards.
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, site maps, and reusable UI components/style guides.
• Build and maintain front-end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Build/maintain templates, layouts, and configurations within a CMS environment.
• Develop and support features such as web forms, submission workflows, event calendars, alerts/notification banners, and dashboards.
• Ensure work meets accessibility, security, performance, SEO, and cross-browser/device compatibility standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, estimate effort, and document solutions.
• Maintain clear technical documentation to support continuity and knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years UI/UX and website design experience (IA, user flows, layout, prototypes, responsive/mobile-first design, SEO).
• 5+ years front-end web development experience using HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript.
• 4+ years building web forms and submission workflows (validation, routing, notifications, integrations).
• 4+ years building/testing sites for accessibility standards (automated tools + manual/assistive tech testing).
• 4+ years using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar for design files/component libraries/style guides.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with dashboards, event calendars, news/press release publishing, and site-wide alerts.
• Experience supporting public-sector/government websites.
• Experience with web analytics and AI-enhanced SEO approaches.
• Drupal experience is a strong plus.
