Database Operations & Integration IT Manager

Job Title : Database Operations & Integration IT Manager Employment Type : Full-Time Location : Torrance, CA, United States About the Role: American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is seeking a Global Group Lead / Unit Manager for Database and Integration Operations in Torrance, CA. You will direct regional (80%) and global (20%) database platforms, enterprise messaging buses, and API middleware services across corporate IT.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct operational and analytical database platforms including cloud data warehouses, data lakes, and marts.
• Oversee enterprise API management platforms, service buses, and integration middleware architectures.
• Lead, mentor, and coach high-performing database administrators and integration engineers.
• Manage annual unit capital and operational budgets, ensuring adherence to Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD).
• Partner with executive stakeholders in North America and Japan on cloud migration and data governance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of enterprise IT experience, including 3+ years in a people management/leadership capacity.
• Strong technical background in Database Administration, Data Architecture, or Enterprise Integration.
• Proven track record managing large-scale hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and middleware.
• Outstanding executive presentation, vendor negotiation, and team leadership skills.
