Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels; coordinate care with other disciplines while applying critical thinking and independent judgment.
• Collect relevant data, assess patient health, develop a care plan, implement interventions, and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and compassionate care; participate in discharge planning and patient education.
• Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the nursing team; ensure an environment that supports safety and quality care.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
• BLS certification from an approved vendor; CPR certification may be accepted where applicable
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum two years of recent acute care experience
• BSN degree preferred
• Ability to work in a hospital/acute care travel assignment and comply with assignment specifics, including 7:00 AM–7:30 PM schedule
