Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job

Overview

Registered Nurse – PCU travel assignment in Fort Myers, Florida. Start date January 15, 2027 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed 36 hours per week with a 12-hour night shift schedule (12x3).

Weekly pay ranges from $1,999 to $2,119. This assignment is hospital-based with floating to other MS/Tele, PCU, and ED as needed. Home base will be a Medical/Surgical Tele floor.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on PCU and Med-Surg Tele units, including assessment, monitoring, and ongoing clinical evaluation
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and implement prescribed treatment plans
• Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and escalate to the care team as appropriate
• Document accurately in the Epic electronic medical record and maintain compliance with clinical policies and safety standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, coordinate discharge planning, and educate patients and families
• Float to other units and campuses as needed, adhering to unit-specific protocols and staffing needs

Requirements

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of PCU experience with mixed MS/Tele
• Education: Nursing degree; or 5 years of RN experience
• EMR: Epic experience
• Travel requirements: This is a travel assignment with a 50-mile radius restriction; local candidates will not be considered. RTO must be submitted with submittal and included in the profile.
