Responsibilities

• Scrub and/or circulate in OR for general surgery, robotics, transplants (kidney, liver), orthopedic, neuro, spine, ENT, GYN, urology, organ procurement, trauma
• Prepare sterile field, set up instruments and equipment, and assist with case turnover; support the surgeon and anesthesia as needed
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and document events; communicate clearly with the surgical team
• Maintain sterile technique and adherence to infection prevention and safety protocols
• May be floated to other OR locations within the health system; no on-call time, but holidays and weekend rotations may be required
• Ensure patient safety and accurate intraoperative documentation throughout procedures

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification
• OR scrub and/or circulating experience; preference for orthopedics, neuro, transplant, ENT, general surgery
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3x12) and participate in holiday/weekend rotations
• Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment; non-local candidates only; must reside more than 50 miles from the work location; RTO requests must be presented at submission
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced OR environment
