Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for adult medical/surgical telemetry patients, including monitoring telemetry and vital signs
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies and infusion pumps, and perform routine procedures
• Conduct bladder scans, glucose monitoring, blood draws, and specimen collection as applicable
• Document care in the electronic health record and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team
• Respond to patient changes in condition, collaborate with ED hold resources, and support float needs across units as assigned
• Ensure patient safety and quality of care, including adherence to unit protocols and patient education

Requirements

• Active NY RN license or proof of application with applied date (NY licensing timeframe acknowledged)
• AHA BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessment required prior to starting
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty
• CMSRN certification preferred
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced tele-managed Med/Surg setting and participate in a non self-scheduling rotation
