Overview

Registered Nurse – Operating Room travel assignment in Ogdensburg, New York. Start date: 11/16/2026 for a 13-week contract in a busy OR within an acute care setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,519 to $2,596 with guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across multiple specialties, including Orthopedics (Stryker, Arthrex, DePuy), General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Endoscopy
• Prepare the OR, instrument setups, and sterile fields; assist with patient positioning and instrumentation per surgeon requests
• Monitor intraoperative patient status, manage anesthesia data, and respond to events to support patient safety
• Perform accurate counts, handle specimens, and collaborate with the anesthesia team and circulating staff
• Document perioperative care in the electronic medical record (Meditech) and ensure smooth patient handoffs to PACU
• Participate in on-call rotations and comply with unit policies and infection control standards

Requirements

• Current RN license valid in the state of assignment (New York)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum two years of recent OR experience
• OR experience across Orthopedics (Stryker, Arthrex, DePuy), General Surgery, OB/GYN, Endoscopy
• Ability to work effectively in a busy OR and participate in on-call rotation
• Availability to start 11/16/2026 and commit to a 13-week travel assignment
