About this role
About The Role
The role sits on a product engineering team that owns end-to-end features across web, mobile, and backend services - from API design through UI polish - serving users at meaningful scale. This is a high-ownership position on a well-funded team: shipping fast matters, but so does writing code that survives the next three years. Expect real product decisions, not just ticket-taking.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and ship full-stack features across a TypeScript/React frontend and Node.js or Go backend, owning delivery from spec to production Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs handling production traffic, with attention to latency, pagination, and error handling Build and optimize data models in PostgreSQL and Redis, writing efficient migrations and query patterns as the product scales Participate in CI/CD pipeline improvements - automated testing, deployment automation, and observability tooling (Datadog or similar) Debug production issues end-to-end: trace logs, profile slow endpoints, and ship fixes with appropriate monitoring and alerting Collaborate with product managers and designers on scoping, estimates, and technical tradeoffs during planning Contribute to code reviews and engineering documentation, helping raise the technical bar across the team What We Are Looking For 3–8 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production web applications Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with React (or a comparable modern frontend framework) Backend experience with Node.js, Go, or Python, including API design and authentication patterns Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and caching layers (Redis, Memcached) Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience Bonus: mobile development experience (React Native, Swift, or Kotlin), prior startup experience, or contributions to open-source tooling
