Job description
About this role
About The Role
The role owns the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of a core product line serving enterprise customers - translating business goals into prioritized, technically grounded plans that engineering teams can execute against.
This is a hands-on PM position at the intersection of technical depth and commercial outcomes. The role works daily with engineers, designers, and go-to-market teams to define what gets built, why, and in what order.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the product roadmap for a core platform area, defining quarterly priorities and sequencing work across multiple engineering squads
- Write clear, well-scoped product requirement documents (PRDs) and user stories in Jira/Linear, with defined success metrics and acceptance criteria
- Run discovery: customer interviews, competitive analysis, and usage data analysis in SQL, Amplitude, or Looker to validate problems before committing resources
- Partner with engineering leads on technical tradeoffs, sprint planning, and scoping decisions - able to discuss API design, system architecture, and integration constraints credibly
- Define, track, and report on product KPIs (activation, retention, adoption, revenue impact), presenting progress and insights to leadership on a regular cadence
- Coordinate launches end-to-end with marketing, sales, and customer success, including positioning, pricing input, and enablement materials
- Make prioritization calls with incomplete information and communicate tradeoffs transparently to stakeholders at all levels
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of product management experience, including at least 2 years managing a technical or B2B SaaS product through full launch cycles
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with engineering teams on technical topics - comfortable reading API docs, data models, and architecture diagrams
- Strong analytical skills: fluent in SQL and comfortable self-serve analysis in tools like Looker, Tableau, or Amplitude
- Track record of shipping products or major features from discovery through launch, with measurable business impact
- Excellent written communication - PRDs, strategy memos, and stakeholder updates that are clear, concise, and decision-oriented
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience in software or data-driven product environments
- Bonus: experience with developer-facing products or APIs, background in agile/scrum facilitation, or an MBA or technical degree (CS, engineering)
