About this role
About The Role
The role builds the interfaces users touch every day — designing and shipping web applications that are fast, accessible, and reliable at scale. This is a hands-on engineering position focused on React and TypeScript, where code quality, rendering performance, and user experience are measured, not assumed.
You will work directly with product designers, backend engineers, and QA to turn product requirements into production features, owning components from design handoff through deployment and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain user-facing features in React 18 and TypeScript, shipping production code on a weekly release cadence Design reusable component libraries with a strong emphasis on accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and design system consistency Optimize application performance — bundle size, Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, and render cost — using Lighthouse, WebPageTest, and Chrome DevTools Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs, handling caching, optimistic updates, and error states with React Query or similar tooling Write unit and end-to-end tests with Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright; maintain coverage above agreed team thresholds Participate in code reviews, technical design docs, and architecture discussions that shape the frontend roadmap Collaborate with designers in Figma to implement pixel-accurate, responsive interfaces across breakpoints and device classes What We Are Looking For 3–6 years of professional frontend engineering experience building and maintaining production web applications Deep proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES2022+); strong grasp of component architecture and state management (Redux, Zustand, or React Query) Experience with CSS-in-JS or modern styling systems (Tailwind, styled-components, CSS Modules) and building responsive layouts from Figma designs Track record of measurable performance improvements — bundle reduction, LCP/INP improvements, or similar shipped results Comfortable working in a Git-based workflow with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience Bonus: experience with Next.js or SSR frameworks, design system contribution, WebSockets/real-time UIs, or light backend exposure (Node.js)
