Overview

Organizations across every industry are using real-time data to monitor operations, improve situational awareness, and respond quickly to changing conditions. ArcGIS Velocity helps customers ingest, analyze, and act on high-volume streaming data from sensors, devices, vehicles, and operational systems at scale.

Join Esri's Real-Time GIS team to help guide the evolution of ArcGIS Velocity. You will work with customers, engineers, designers, and business leaders to identify emerging market opportunities. Your work will influence how organizations detect incidents, automate workflows, and make operational decisions using real-time location intelligence.

If you're excited about solving customer problems, understanding emerging technologies, and turning market opportunities into successful products, we'd love to have you help drive the next generation of real-time GIS capabilities.

  • Identify and prioritize customer needs, market opportunities, and industry trends through customer engagement, research, and competitive analysis
  • Collaborate with Product Development on product planning, release planning, and feature prioritization based on customer and market requirements
  • Manage product lifecycle activities for ArcGIS Velocity, including roadmap planning, release execution, and launch readiness
  • Partner with other Product Managers to ensure consistent workflows, messaging, and integration across the ArcGIS system
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to support value proposition development, product positioning, go-to-market activities, and release communications
  • Engage with customers, Professional Services, partners, and internal stakeholders to validate product direction and identify opportunities to expand the value of real-time GIS
  • Share product expertise through customer briefings, product demonstrations, webinars, conferences, and industry events
  • Support sales, technical support, training, and customer success teams to ensure successful product adoption and release readiness

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in product management or a related role supporting commercial software products
  • Experience gathering customer feedback and translating business needs into product requirements and priorities
  • Experience with Internet of Things (IoT), streaming data platforms, event processing, or operational analytics systems
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, UX, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate product vision, requirements, and roadmap priorities
  • Ability to build strategic relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams
  • Experience presenting product capabilities to customers, partners, or industry audiences
  • Willingness to travel 10-20% for customer meetings, conferences, and strategic events
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, computer science, engineering, information systems, business, or a related field

Recommended Qualifications

  • Master's degree in GIS, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field
  • Experience with GIS, location intelligence, spatial analytics, or geospatial data management
  • Experience in industries such as public safety, utilities, transportation, defense, or fleet operations
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS Velocity, ArcGIS GeoEvent Server, ArcGIS Online, or ArcGIS Enterprise
