Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide overnight, one-on-one care for a client. This role involves delivering both personal and skilled nursing care in a home setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing overnight responsibilities and working closely with a client requiring personalized attention.

Additionally, the nurse must be comfortable around large dogs, as they are part of the home environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a patient's life through attentive, professional care.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight, one-on-one nursing care tailored to the specific needs of the client.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor and assess the client’s condition throughout the night, noting any changes or concerns.
• Assist with personal care tasks, including hygiene, mobility support, and comfort measures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any observations during shifts.
• Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times in the home environment.
• Be comfortable working in a setting that includes large dogs, ensuring safety for both the client and pets.

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Prior experience in patient care, preferably with overnight or long-term care settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable providing personal and skilled nursing care in a home environment.
• Must be okay with large dogs present in the home setting.
• Excellent observational skills to monitor patient status overnight.
• Reliable, responsible, and committed to providing high-quality care.
