Mobile Software Engineer

Expected Duration: 12 Months Job Type: Onsite Salary Range: $80/hr.- $83/hr. Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Systems Engineer with strong client-server development experience to design, build, and optimize software systems spanning wearable devices, iOS/Android mobile applications, and distributed backend services.

The ideal candidate will have a solid software engineering background, proficiency in Kotlin or Swift, and hands-on experience with asynchronous programming, multithreaded systems, concurrency, system architecture, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement software systems spanning wearable devices, iOS/Android mobile applications, and distributed backend services.
• Develop mobile products using Kotlin or Swift, with a strong understanding of asynchronous programming.
• Work with multithreaded, event-driven systems and address complex concurrency challenges.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of memory management, resource ownership, race conditions, and deadlock prevention.
• Debug race conditions, thread-safety issues, and complex concurrency problems.
• Optimize CPU usage, memory consumption, latency, and overall system reliability.
• Contribute to system architecture design, performance improvements, and reliable software delivery.
• Communicate effectively with team members through verbal and written communication.
• Required Skills Mobile Development: Experience building mobile products using Kotlin or Swift with distributed backend systems.

Concurrency and Asynchronous Programming

Experience with multithreaded, event-driven systems, concurrency management, and asynchronous programming.

Systems Engineering

Experience in architecture design, performance optimization, and system reliability improvements.

Software Engineering

Strong programming fundamentals and a solid software engineering background. Experience: 10+ years of overall experience. Nice-to-Have Skills Wearables: Experience developing products for wearable devices such as smart glasses, watches, or mixed-reality (MR) headsets.

Systems Programming

Proficiency in C++ or Rust.

AI/ML Engineering

Experience with LLM prompt tuning, evaluation, tool calling, and agent workflows. Performance Expectations Performance will be measured based on daily deliverables. Interview Process Number of Rounds: 2 Duration: 45 minutes per round Interview Format: Primarily technical, with some behavioral questions.

Additional Requirements Candidates must have a strong programming background and solid software engineering experience. Candidates without the required core technical skills and software engineering experience will not be considered. Candidates with short job tenures of less than one year may be disqualified.

Candidates must be willing to work onsite in one of the specified locations.
