Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of pediatric cardiac experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU setting within a hospital
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time, 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience required, including chest tubes, pacing wires, ventilators, and vasoactive infusions
• BSN preferred
• New graduates will be considered in lieu of critical care experience

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Provide patient and family education based on identified learning needs
• All newly hired experienced RNs attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days
• New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and must complete organizational and department-specific competency validations
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Previous CHRISTUS Health employees (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for a travel assignment
