Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit position requiring telemetry experience and 2 years of RN experience.

Details

• Work in the Intermediate Care (IMC) unit of a hospital setting
• Cardiac telemetry and stepdown patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Floating required to other units or Integris facilities within a 75-mile radius

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with telemetry/cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and phlebotomy
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• Experience with cardiac procedures including pre/post cardiac cath, sheath removal, and TR band
• Wound care and wound vac experience
• Current driver's license or state-issued ID required
• Utility bill in candidate's name with matching address within 3 months of start date, showing residence greater than 75 miles from the facility
• Two supervisory references required
• Copies of certifications required with application

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry and stepdown level nursing care including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Manage patients with cardiovascular, renal, neurological, and gastrointestinal conditions
• Administer medications including heparin protocols, PCA, and titrated cardiac drips
• Utilize rapid response and code team protocols as needed
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Previous Integris employees must have a minimum 1-year separation to be eligible for consideration
• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed per 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO permitted
• No block scheduling requests accepted
• Any gaps of 3 months or more in work history must include an explanation
• First-time travelers are not specified as eligible for this role
