The Equipment Engineer is responsible for equipment troubleshooting, installation, qualification, modification, automation, and continuous improvement to ensure stable, reliable, and efficient equipment performance. Mechanical, electrical, software, AI, and automation solutions are designed and integrated to enhance process equipment capability and automation tooling performance.
Maintenance procedures, technical documentation, safety standards, and technician training are developed, while equipment projects, equipment characterization, and manufacturing capability development are supported.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Equipment troubleshooting, installation, qualification, modification, and continuous improvement are supported across manufacturing lines.
- Equipment automation and upgrades are developed and implemented using AI and the latest automation technologies to improve equipment stability, performance, and productivity.
- Electrical drawings, wiring layouts, software debugging, and control systems are prepared and maintained for process equipment.
- Different equipment modules and systems are integrated to ensure stable and reliable operation.
- Mechanical and electrical components are designed, modified, and assembled to improve equipment performance across various process requirements.
- Process parameters are monitored and optimized to achieve consistent output quality and performance targets.
- Maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing procedures are developed for equipment electrical and mechanical components.
- Equipment characterization and capability studies are performed to ensure equipment meets required quality, performance, and specification standards.
- Equipment design, modification, expansion, and automation projects are supported.
- SOPs, safety procedures, environmental requirements, and HIRAC documentation are prepared and maintained.
- Technical and safety training are provided, and safety guidelines are established for equipment technicians.
- Process, manufacturing, automation teams, and suppliers are closely collaborated with to identify problems, develop solutions, and drive equipment improvements.
- Consumable usage and equipment-related costs are monitored and optimized to reduce cost of ownership.
- Equipment-related data is collected and analyzed to support continuous improvement and predictive maintenance initiatives.
REQUIRED:
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Materials Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Fresh graduates with relevant engineering qualifications are encouraged to apply.
PREFERRED:
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on equipment, automation, electrical/mechanical systems, or process equipment
- Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills related to surface finishing and polishing processes
- Experience or strong interest in CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization), polishing automation, AI-based process control, robotics, and new technologies
