Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a DevOps Engineer with 6+ years of experience in DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines, along with strong hands-on development expertise in Golang and Node.js. The role will support the modernization of entitlement services by migrating OMES and UPMS from direct Salesforce account and contact dependencies to a backward-compatible API and integration layer.
The successful candidate will design and build integration components, manage Infrastructure as Code and deployment pipelines, support system cutovers, validate entitlement and permission integrity, and contribute to end-to-end quality assurance and user acceptance testing. The role will help maintain backward compatibility, reduce permissioning risks, and support reliable delivery across interconnected enterprise systems.
Software Requirements
Required
- DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines: 6+ years of experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting automated build, test, release, and deployment pipelines.
- Golang: Strong hands-on development experience.
- Node.js: Strong hands-on development experience.
- Terraform: Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Microservices architecture: Solid understanding of service design, integration, deployment, scalability, and operational support.
- API integration: Experience integrating complex, interdependent applications across multiple systems.
- REST APIs: Experience designing, consuming, integrating, testing, and supporting RESTful services.
- Debugging: Good skills in troubleshooting application, integration, deployment, infrastructure, and permissioning issues.
- Integration-layer development: Experience designing and building components that preserve backward compatibility for downstream consumers.
- Deployment and cutover support: Experience supporting production deployments, system cutovers, rollback readiness, and post-deployment validation.
- Data migration support: Experience supporting data migration, validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks.
- Entitlement and permission validation: Ability to validate access, entitlement, and permission integrity across interconnected systems.
Preferred
- Experience with enterprise integration or iPaaS layers, including MuleSoft.
- Working knowledge of Azure, including AKS, API Management, and Key Vault.
- Exposure to identity, entitlement, authentication, or access-management systems.
- Experience supporting two-stage system cutovers, including migration to a shielding layer and subsequent hierarchy changes.
- Experience contributing to compressed UAT windows and permissioning-flow validation.
- Experience supporting large-scale data migrations, including migrations involving approximately 8,800 new Segment Accounts.
- Experience with rollback planning, release recovery, and operational readiness.
- Experience with automated security, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Overall Responsibilities
- Repoint OMES and UPMS from direct Salesforce account and contact dependencies to the new backward-compatible API and integration layer.
- Design and build integration components connecting UPMS and OMES to the shielding layer.
- Preserve backward compatibility for downstream consumers during service, API, and hierarchy changes.
- Execute and support two cutovers for each system:Cutover onto the shielding layer.Cutover aligned to the Salesforce hierarchy change.
- Prepare, test, and maintain rollback plans and readiness activities for each cutover.
- Validate entitlement and permission integrity end-to-end across the OneMSCI Entitlements systems.
- Identify and resolve conditions that could result in client over-permissioning or under-permissioning.
- Contribute to program-wide quality assurance activities and support the compressed UAT window for permissioning flows.
- Support entitlement data migration aligned to approximately 8,800 new Segment Accounts.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, mapping verification, and migration-quality checks.
- Manage Infrastructure as Code and deployment pipelines for entitlement services affected by the migration.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows for application, integration, infrastructure, and configuration changes.
- Build, test, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Golang and Node.js services and integration components.
- Apply microservices architecture principles to create maintainable, scalable, resilient, and observable services.
- Collaborate with engineering, platform, infrastructure, security, testing, data, and business stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve issues across applications, APIs, integrations, pipelines, infrastructure, data, and permissioning workflows.
- Document technical designs, integration mappings, deployment procedures, cutover plans, rollback steps, test evidence, and operational processes.
- Support efficient use of compute, storage, network, and deployment resources through automation and sustainable engineering practices.
