About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust.

And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Be part of Salesforce’s Global Public Sector Solution Engineering team, where your technical expertise meets a higher purpose. As a Specialist Solution Engineer for Analytics (Tableau) on the Federal Civilian team, you’ll help agencies turn data into decisions and mission outcomes.

The Opportunity

You’ll be a customer-facing technical trusted advisor and the Tableau subject matter expert for our Federal Civilian accounts. You’ll partner with Account Executives, core Solution Engineers, and the Analytics sales team to lead technical discovery, shape and deliver proof points, and build a clear path from evaluation through activation, adoption, and expansion.

You’ll help agencies operationalize Data + AI + Trust with Tableau, CRM Analytics, Tableau Next, and Data 360.

Your Impact

  • Lead technical and business discovery with federal stakeholders to uncover mission gaps, reporting bottlenecks, and legacy BI pain points, and translate them into analytics use cases, success metrics, and an executable plan.
  • Align Tableau, CRM Analytics, and Tableau Next to complex agency problems, including how they connect to Data 360 and the wider Salesforce platform.
  • Deliver demonstrations, rapid prototypes, and proofs of concept that tell a clear story of how agencies move from data to decisions.
  • Advise on data and analytics architecture, including data modeling, governance, security, and integration with agency data platforms.
  • Design and lead hands-on workshops and deep dives for agency data leaders, analysts, and enterprise architects.
  • Present confidently to executive leadership, simplifying complex technology into mission outcomes.
  • Serve as the technical lead for Analytics sections of RFI and RFP responses, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with customers on deployment strategy and adoption.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to rapidly build and iterate on demos, prototypes, and analytics experiences.

Maintain deal hygiene in Org62, including deal contribution and SE scorecards.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of customer-facing experience in pre-sales, consulting, or solution architecture, with increasing scope and influence, and deep hands-on experience in Tableau, CRM Analytics, or comparable BI tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong command of data visualization, data modeling, and SQL.
  • Ability to run technical and business discovery and translate requirements into solutions, success metrics, and ROI.
  • Executive and technical communication: able to whiteboard with analysts and engineers and present to senior leaders with equal fluency.
  • Growth mindset and willingness to keep sharpening skills through enablement, labs, and certifications.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and events.

U.S. citizenship required.

*

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pre-sales experience at a CRM, analytics, or BI company.
  • Experience selling to or working with U.S. federal civilian agencies.
  • Tableau and Salesforce certifications.
  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) and with Python or scripting.

Experience building with AI tools and facilitating workshops.
