  • The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team: RTX is seeking an experienced Senior OpenText Documentum Developer to join our Business Systems & Transformation organization.
  • This role will focus on designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise content management solutions leveraging OpenText Documentum.
  • The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, understands complex document lifecycle workflows, and can collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant content management capabilities.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the design, development, customization, and deployment of Documentum-based applications, including D2, xCP, Webtop, and custom Documentum services
  • Develop and maintain Documentum objects including workflows, lifecycles, job definitions, TBOs/SBOs, and custom components
  • Integrate Documentum with enterprise platforms, APIs, and external systems
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and security of Documentum repositories
  • Support upgrade planning, environment migrations, and modernization of legacy Documentum applications
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in Documentum servers, repositories, and application layers
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, retention, and regulatory requirements across document-centric processes
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to ECM governance, design standards, and best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of hands-on experience with OpenText Documentum development (D2, xCP, Webtop, Composer, Administrator)
  • Strong proficiency in Documentum Foundation Classes (DFC), Documentum REST, Java, and related integration frameworks
  • Experience designing and implementing workflows, lifecycles, metadata models, and document security policies
  • Understanding of enterprise content management principles, information architecture, and document governance
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and deliver clear, actionable solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-hosted Documentum environments or modernization initiatives
  • Familiarity with OpenText Extended ECM, Captiva/Intelligent Capture, or other OpenText products
  • Knowledge of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and automated deployments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
